Question by justluvhorses: What part of Colorado should my family vacation to?
My family would like to go to Colorado over Thanksgiving in 2008. What part of Colorado would be the best for a group of 8 adults and 5 children ages 1 – 11? We would like an area that has beginner to intermediate skiing as well as other outdoor activities. We prefer to rent a home instead of stay at a lodge. Thanks for your help!

Thanksgiving is a bit early for skiing. Not to say there won’t be any skiing, but your options will likely be limited.
For a real Colorado experience, I’d recommend Steamboat Springs. It’s the most western of the Colorado ski towns.
My other suggestion would be Breckenridge.
Try following the snow reports at these areas starting in November this year, then determine if late November is a good time vs waiting for February or March.
